Virtual Production: THREE-Day Training course

OVERVIEW

The three-day training course aims to provide a comprehensive and hands-on education in Virtual Production and Unreal Engine, covering everything from the basics of the technology to advanced techniques and best practices. This training will be suitable for professionals and enthusiasts alike who are looking to expand their knowledge and skills in this exciting and rapidly growing field.

Participants will leave with the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to create, direct, and produce their own Virtual Production projects.

There are six Modules in total, two per day - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The structure of the sessions may change due to skill set and or actual numbers enrolled for the course. This would mainly impact the final session on the third day.

DAY 1

Module 1:
Introduction.

The Basics - What is VP and How Does it Work, what are the Benefits of VP? Starting with a demo and tour and showing examples of what has been shot at Garden. Progressing through key technologies and concepts involved.

This section will provide an overview of the entire virtual production workflow, including pre-production, production, and post-production. This section aims to consolidate what participants will have learned over the rest of the course.

Module 6: Test Shoot.

Finally, we’ll put everything together that we’ve learned, shooting a short piece where operation of camera, lights and Unreal are deferred to the participants. This will include how traditional roles have changed and what to expect on-set.

By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of the technology and workflow of ICVFX and Virtual Production and will be able to apply their newly acquired knowledge to their future projects. There will be supporting papers to take away.
